Just touched down in London Town

La de da, I'm in London! Classes started, which does seem to limit my time for hitting the town, but if I use my time wisely (psh) I think I can balance it all out. One thing's for sure (don't tell my teachers), and it's that I won't sacrifice my experience here for homework and reading. But it's all really interesting stuff, and I'll learn a lot doing it all. It makes everything more meaningful when you research and learn the history and all.

I went to a play finally! It was "The Woman in Black". It's the only horror play I've ever seen, everyone was screaming in the audience. I'm so tough I barely flinched. haha just kidding. But seriously..... I'm pretty tough. I liked it though, it was reeeeally well done, it was a two man show. A two-very-talented-man show more like. They were incredible.

I LOVE Ben's cookies. Who doesn't? They are cookie perfection.

I've been dying to get out and go to museums, so the other day I went to the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum) and spent 2 hours there. I stayed behind the group and only made it through two rooms because I am so slow. I love museums. I spent forever in the Islamic middle east room. The things those people made are incredible. Their fabrics and ceramics are mind boggling to me, I love seeing it all. Just wait till I go to the modern art or impressionist sections. Those'll be good blog entries, seeing that those are my definite top 2 favorites. (I think as of now)

I finally got to talk to my parents last night! Marko and Mom are in Hawaii, and this whole skyping thing hasn't really been working out, but we figured it out last night (yes I am the only person in this flat who hasn't been talking to their family, friends, and boyfriends once everyday at least), and I am soooo happy. Truly I wouldn't normally think I am the homesick type, but something about talking to loved ones helped me sleep better, and wake up perkier. (...Kind of. Give me a break, mornings are not my forte)

Peacin out, Bye

  3. Sarah! Ann just informed me that you're in London, and I had to check out your blog. I'm thrilled you get to spend a semester there. We're planning a weekend adventure down there in February so we'll have to catch up with you and say hi - or cheers. =) Also, another play you should DEFINITELY see while you're there - The 39 Steps by Alfred Hitchcock (a great comedy).

  4. Have you ever heard of compulsive overeating disorder? ANYWAY...life sounds wonderful. YOU sound wonderful. I am starting to dislike skype very very much, as it is so frustrating trying to find each other and keep it working! I'll just have to rely on this delightful blog. Who is the distant cousin you are with? Which Dumke parents?
