Baaaa (Sheep Noises) Baaa

I had no idea that I'd have so much to write about here!
Today we went to random far away places that I had never heard of before, but it ended up being really cool of course. But before we get down to the nitty gritty, let me share a wonderful experience from the other night. Twas the night before Tuesday and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Ok that was a TOTAL lie, since there's totally mice here (one of London's major problems), but really, 2:09 a.m. the fire alarm goes off. It was the LOUDEST alarm I've ever heard, and everyone was freaking out because the flat is supposedly on fire. So we walk out of the room, and all our teachers are standing in the hall in their pajamas trying to turn it off. And they made us go stand by the door. So all of us zombie children were standing by the door smooshed, and our teachers are there too.... in their pajamas. I just wanted to write about it because I don't think this is a common occurrance. It's a little bit funny and a little bit not. Turns out the lady upstairs left her oven on to heat up the kitchen because she was cold then passed out because she has asthma. Classic.
Anyways, today we started off by driving to Brighton to see the Royal Pavillion, which is King George III's castle, famous for the fact that it looks Indian, Chinese, and Egyptian. It was SO extravagantly decorated I couldn't believe it. Never seen anything as lavish in my life. We hung out there for a while and hung out at the dock by the English Channel.
Next we drove to Hastings, which is where the battle of Hastings took place (Surprising, I know). This is one of the most important things in England's history, so that was neat. Battle Abbey is also right there, and that is really cool because it's just an old deserted church that we can wander through and play in without having a tour. I loved it.
Next we headed on to Rye, which was my favorite place of the day. It was just a tiny town with lots of bread/bakeries (hence the name). They have Mermaid Street which has original houses from the 14th Century, people live in them now. It was cool because the streets were still original cobblestone and everything. That stuff hurts BAD to walk on. How did they do it? We wandered around Rye for a while then headed home.
Today was mostly amazing just to get out of the big city for a day. I looooove the country. It was so green, and felt so clean, and there wasn't traffic everywhere. And there were sheep all over the place (for some reason that made me happy.) I get clostrophobic (<--spelling?) in the city after a while, so that was nice.
I also just wanted to clear things up for all my many fans who commented on my last post: I did not actually buy the cowboy boots, I am giving it the test of time to make sure it's true love and not just infatuation. Believe me, I'll keep you posted.
