The BIG 20!

April fourth.... haaappppy birrrthhddayyy!!!! It was one of those Easter/conference birthdays, but seriously, truly, and honestly, I can't remember a better birthday. I have great roomates that insured I had a great day, and conference was really good, and we had a really neat Easter devotional... in which I had to speak. But it was good for me. Always is. I was QUITE disappointed in the fact that my birthday package from mom never arrived- the dumbo parcel men were witholding it from me and asking for a large ransom. Rude.
Monday I had class all morning, then went to Portabello Road to pick up my birthday present to myself- A sweet Cath Kidston bag! It's a strictly London brand, and I love it.
That night I went to Les Miserables, which I have been DYING to see. It was amazing, the talent was impeccable, and it's just an all around well written play.

Next morning: I decided to start the day right with a run through Hyde park
run through Hyde Park, then I spent all morning on homework. (can you tell it's crackdown time?) After class we had an optional trip to the London temple to do baptisms. It was really special, it's been way too long since I've been inside a temple! It makes you realize what it's like for everyone else, not having three within a 30 minute drive from home. The temple grounds were full of daffodils of course- I will forever associate daffodils with London. The font was beautiful, and I'm really glad I chose to go.

Today we woke up early to make it to our tour of the Houses of Parliment. I just LOVE Big Ben no matter what the weather or time of day. The inside of the parliment building looked like a cathedral/castle. It was really cool. My favorite part was seeing the House of Commons and the House of Lords where they sit and yell at eachother. You can watch it on TV, or even in movies sometimes, and say "wow, Sarah has been in that very room." They were actually opening a session today, one which the Prime Minister was to attend. We got to watch some little entering ceremony, but.... Gordon Brown wasn't there to say hi yet.
Next we went to the Cabinet War Rooms, which is where Winston and his officers lived during the bombings of England in WW2, and they kinda ran the war from down there. It was SO cool, actually, one of the best museums I've been to yet. Everything was in it's original state, including the furnishings, the maps, and even the paint on the walls. I have NO idea why I just included that the paint was original. It's cool though right? Anyways, I think Winston Churchill is one of the greatest men who ever lived. Without him, I think that all of Europe and even the U.S. would be really different. Not only was he an incredible military man, but he was SO witty and funny. I bought a Winston Churchill quote book. I'm a #1 fan.
After I got home from all that exitement, I acidentally layed down in my bed, and accidentally got under the covers, and accidentally fell asleep for 2 hours. It was an ACCIDENT.
After dinner, since my B-day package FINALLY got here today (which, by the way, was the BEST package ever) me and my friends went to Frog and got frozen yogurt for my birthday party. My blessed mother insured that we were not lacking any Spongebob party supplies, I mean how can you party without that? I also loved my Birthday Tiara. It's the envy of the Royal family... they want to display it with their jewels. OH and don't forget to notice the Spongebob sweat bands that were dispersed among the grounp, and the gooey slappy hands. All essential for anyone who knows how to throw a killer party.
After Frog, I recieved 20 birthday spanks from Spongebob slappy hands, and proceeded inside to complete my homework. The never ending battle between education vs. London is still raging, it's hard to say who's winning.
Every few mintues, I realize how badly I'm going to miss London and all my friends. It's REALLY winding down over here, I can't even believe it. I'm in shock. I'm so in love with everything... Don't make me leaaavvvee!!!!
