Ok so... I may say this every day, but today was the funnest day ever.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. The day started out with me, squinty eyed and bed-head, saying: "I want to lay in my bed and watch movies all day." to my roomates. I mean, it was early, and we had to get on a coach and spend all day at some random places that we'd never heard of. Runnymede, Windsor, and Stoke Poges. What?
So we rode on over to Runnymede, (I stared at the sunrise listening to music instead of doing homework, ooops) which happens to be where the Magna Carta was signed. I didn't get a picture by the monument, but my friend did get this shot of me staring into the distance thinking about the universe.... or something.

Runnymede also has a special little cobblestone trail that leads to an acre of American Land dedicated to John F. Kennedy,

and I felt so at home I just HAD to burst into song.... ohhh beautiful for spacious skies... you know the drill. And just a few minutes ago I found a penny in my backpack. It made me miss America. But just for a bit. I hope to be completely bi-cultural by the end of this, baby.
After frolicing in the beautiful fields we headed over to Windsor, which was so incredible.

The castle of Windsor is the oldest Royal Castle in the world- meaning that the Royals have been staying there for over 900 years and still do. Queen Elizabeth lives there in August I think. Anyways, we got to tour all the Royal estates, and I was flabberghasted (nice vocabulary I'm acquiring eh?). From the ceilings to the floors it was SO decorative. Very gaudy, but duh, it's royalty. All of the cabinets and rugs were beautiful, and most of them were imported or given as gifts from other countries. The paintings were all done by famous artists, these royal people can just have whatever they want! The china was on display, there's probably enough dishes to serve the whole country. I couldn't belive all the work that servants must have put into it. And all the money they used. It was nuts. AND it was a niiiice sunny day so it was fun to play on the green grass. St. George's church was there and it was soooooo pretty inside. I'm telling you... you can't find an inch that isn't lavishly decorated in these places.

Then we went to Stoke Poges, which is basically now a memorial for the poet Thomas Grey (who we read some of in class). On the way there, I was tired and wanted to go home. I'm starting to find that everytime I feel like not doing something, it ends up being my favorite thing. Stoke poges was just a small parish church by a graveyard and a field, and then we went on a walk around the gardens.

It was my favorite part of the whole day. There are all these little ponds and gardens and it was SO pretty and fun. I reeeally want to go back there someday. It was SO PRETTY. And not too far out of London. Yes, I'll go back.

Anyways, today was just so fun. The sky was blue, and we saw amazing things, an everyone is such good friends by now that we just have lots of fun. Lovin life.

Last night I saw Phantom of the Opera! Woooo it was really good. I just mostly really like the music from that play. I've decided I'm officially out of the too dramatic, romantic, or cheesy stage of my life. I just like real life stories with real life situations. Phantom was amazing, but it was soooo drama filled I felt the need to eat lots of ice cream and candy. It's all their fault.

Here's the dessert I bought. It's healthy cause it has strawberries. (Mom, don't comment on the previous sentence please.)
I leave to Spain tomorrow! Nervous, but exited. No adult supervision, ohhh bbaaabbbyy! Do you think the clubbing rule applies in Espana also? naaaahhhh...
Also, we are having an incredible Valentines party here when we all get back from our little trips and I'm SO exited. I think I'll buy an outfit, and I think it will be pink with frills.
NOT.
I would like to see you in a pink outfit. Can i go back with you to london when you go back.. someday? we would party! Sorry you wanted to lay in bed and watch movies all day. we'll do that when you get home. After we've made a music video. and after we went to florida, and after we discussed things that bff's discuss.. then we will. yes.. lay in bed. all day!
